Sponsor Guide

HTW Sponsors power the overall operations, marketing, and execution of the week — benefiting the entire ecosystem including event hosts, attendees, and the broader Hawaii tech community.

Note: This page covers the HTW sponsorship program. For our current sponsor roster, see /partners.

About HTW Sponsorship

Hawaii Tech Week is the largest week of tech events in Hawaii — a concentrated moment when thousands of founders, investors, engineers, executives, and students gather across Honolulu. Sponsors get in front of a highly engaged, curated audience at a moment when they're actively paying attention.

Beyond exposure, HTW sponsorship is a way to invest in Hawaii's tech ecosystem and be recognized as a leader building it. HTW sponsorship is distinct from hosting an event — sponsors support the overall platform, while event hosts run their own individual events. Many sponsors do both.

HTW Sponsors support the overall week — marketing, operations, anchor events, and the platform. Sponsors receive branding, marketing support, and elevated access across the full week.

Event Hosts put on individual events and are responsible for their own planning, costs, and execution. Many sponsors also host events, but the two roles are distinct.

Benefits

  • Branding across HTW marketing channels, website, and event materials throughout the year
  • Recognition at anchor events during the week
  • Access to the HTW network and community
  • Opportunities to host or co-host featured events with HTW marketing and production support
  • Post-week content and media featuring sponsor involvement
  • Early access to the HTW calendar and community

Expectations

  • Commit by the June 30 annual deadline to be included in the full year's marketing and activation
  • Provide logos, assets, and key contacts in a timely manner for placement across HTW properties
  • Designate a primary point of contact for coordination across the year
  • Engage authentically with HTW and the community — sponsorship works best as a relationship, not just a placement

  4. Complete brand setup — upload your logos, company description, social handles, and other brand details on the onboarding page

Not sure which tier is right? Email aloha@hawaiitechweek.com and we'll walk you through the options.

Onboarding

After completing checkout, you'll land on the brand setup form where you can provide:

  • Company logos (primary + optional dark-background variant)
  • Company description and tagline
  • Website URL and social media handles (Twitter/X, LinkedIn)
  • Whether you're planning to host an event during the week
  • Marketing contact (if different from billing contact)

You can save your progress and come back later — use the link in your welcome email to return to the form.

Once your brand setup is complete:

  • HTW begins integrating your brand across channels within 5 business days of payment clearing
  • Coordinate any sponsored or co-hosted events via the standard event submission process
  • Receive a dedicated social post and newsletter feature announcing your sponsorship

How We Work Together

Throughout the year, the HTW team manages sponsor deliverables and activations across the website, marketing materials, decks, and event collateral. Sponsors with featured or co-hosted events work directly with the HTW events team to plan and execute.

During the week, sponsors receive dedicated support for any events they're hosting or co-hosting. HTW ensures brand placements are live across all properties and coordinates any on-site sponsor presence at anchor events.

After the week, HTW shares post-event content, media, and recap materials featuring sponsor involvement. We debrief with sponsors on outcomes, attendance, and value delivered — and begin early conversations for the following year.
